What does Shaipup do?

Shaipup provides a complete infrastructure code repository and API hosting. It allows you to develop code-based insights and quickly and easily give controlled shared access. You register, and then you can deploy a Shaip. You get a link to load the code in your local development tool. Once you have written your code, you simply push it to the cloud, and it's ready to share.

Who uses Shaipup?

Shaipup has been built to connect research insights delivered through code with any user who wants to drive impact. It could be other researchers, students, governments, funders, the general public or businesses.

Why is Shaipup better than GitHub for hosting my code?

The Shaipup code is hosted in a private repository with controlled access. This ensures the insights are protected, this is especially important if the Shaip has commercial value.

Can I charge customers to access my Shaip?

Yes, Shaipup has a built-in paywall. When you are ready to start charging customers, you can add this to your Shaip. Some Shaips have exclusive paying customers, and others have lots of customers who can access the Shaip.

Can I use Shaipup to make my research code available to third party app developers?

Absolutely! Because Shaipup uses an API framework, it is very easy for third-party software or app developers to integrate your Shaip into their platform. Shaipup was designed to meet this very need; we know how hard it is to develop front-end apps, we let the experts in apps easily access and integrate your great insights.
